Wear the Stance. Change the Game.

NO RACISM

The 'NO RACISM' logo represents a powerful symbol of unity and intolerance. It demonstrates Leicester Nirvana’s resolute stance against racism and sends a clear message that hateful ideologies have no place in football or society at large. Our aim is to strive for a future where diversity is celebrated, equality prevails, and hate is banished.

The shirt isn't just fabric, it's a statement of who we are. By putting 'NO RACISM' on the kit, every player becomes an ambassador for equality.

Leicester Nirvana has always been more than just a football club. Founded in the vibrant heart of Leicester in the 1980s, our roots are deeply intertwined with diversity, equality, and community unity. Our players and families mirror the rich, multicultural collective of Leicester, and we believe that football belongs to everyone.

Wear the stance, change the game.

We’re Not Just Playing. We’re Taking a Stand.

Adopted from the pioneering German club FC Internationale Berlin, this logo is our pledge to help build a unified, global movement against discrimination and intolerance.

When our players put on the Nirvana shirt, they are committing to a standard of respect, solidarity, and inclusivity both on and off the pitch.

We are calling on our fans, parents, opposing teams, and stakeholders to stand with us:

  • Celebrate Diversity: Every background, every culture, and every player makes our game stronger.

  • Banish Hate: Zero tolerance for discrimination on the side lines, on the pitch, or in society.

  • Lead the Way: Showing the rest of the UK that grassroots football can be a beacon for equality.

Silence allows discrimination to thrive, but visibility sparks conversation. Putting this message on our shirts means we are choosing never to stay quiet, making our pitches a safe haven where every single player belongs.

Embedding Sustainable Development Goals across Grassroots Football

By embedding the global "NO RACISM" logo onto the official kits of a deeply diverse, inner-city club, Leicester Nirvana is actively challenging racial discrimination and promoting equal opportunity and inclusion directly within the sporting community. SDG 10 specifically aims to empower and promote the social, economic, and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic status.

Grassroots football clubs function as foundational local institutions, and Leicester Nirvana is no different in that regard. By institutionalising an anti-racism stance across the entire club, we are creating a safe, inclusive, and just environment, protecting young players from discrimination, and creating social cohesion. A key target of SDG 16 is to reduce all forms of violence and related death rates, and eliminate discrimination.

Leicester Nirvana didn't create this campaign in isolation, we adopted the logo from the German club FC Internationale Berlin. This creates a direct, international grassroots partnership, showing how community football clubs can unite globally to tackle systemic societal issues. SDG 17 highlights the necessity of global and local partnerships to achieve sustainable development. It encourages cross-border cooperation, knowledge sharing, and unified movements.
