📖 Our Story

Leicester Nirvana FC has always been more than a football club — we’re a lifeline.
For decades, we’ve opened our doors to young people who might otherwise face barriers to sport. From underrepresented ethnic communities to girls breaking into the game, to refugees and young people facing hardship — we’ve created a safe space to play, learn, and belong. If that was not enough, we have recently been crowned the national grassroots club of the year 2025 by England Football and also county grassroots club of the year 2025 by Leicestershire and Rutland County FA. Support us to become even better.

But right now, our facilities can’t keep pace with our ambition.

🚧 The Challenge

Our current pitches are at breaking point:

• Worn, weather-affected grass that’s unplayable for much of the winter

• Limited availability, forcing us to turn away training sessions and matches

• Fewer safe spaces for young people to gather and grow

Without change, more and more young people will miss out on the transformative power of football.

💡 Our Goal

With £150K we will:

• Install a brand‑new, all‑weather 3G pitch

• Enable year‑round training and matches in all conditions

• Expand access for girls’ teams, disability football, and walking football, reducing inactivity in the community

• Provide a secure, inclusive hub for the entire community — from grassroots football to mentoring workshops

We believe every young person in Leicester deserves the chance to step onto a quality pitch, feel part of a team, and dream big.

📣 Community Backing

• 478 responses were collected from two rounds of consultation in 2024 and 2025.

• 99.3% of respondents support the new 3G pitch.

• 95% said it would encourage their families to participate more in sport and exercise.

• 98.9% believe the wider community will use the facility for recreation.
